Who I am

my Mission

“My focus is to Create and Educate and I can help you with your creative journey.”

My creative journey started in film and television 20 years ago – and yes, the industry has changed dramatically (and at times terrifyingly) in this time!

It all started when I stole Dad’s SLR Camera when I was eleven, and my love affair with photography and image creation began. I graduated from TAFE with diplomas in fine arts and film & television production which led to completing my Masters Degree in Cinematography at the Australian Film Television Radio School (located at that time in Ryde, NSW).

Starting in Children’s Television Drama in Perth and Sydney in the early 2000’s and moving through Drama, Corporate Video, Documentary, Branded Content and Education, keeping up with technology growth and advancement has proved to be a competitive challenge (and my obsession). It’s meant being able to move from shooting for a cinema screen to now delivering on mobile and hand-held devices. Adapt or Die!

Testimonials

Dev taught an inspiring combination of ‘textbook’ industry standard practices as well as how to trust and nurture your own creative intuitions. I have the utmost respect for him as a teacher, a professional and as an artist; do yourself a favour and take one of his courses!

Dev's training was excellent. Covering all aspects of Video work, the importance of sound and of course the final editing skills. Dev was patient and understanding, time management was great and at the end of the course we had all produced some work for our portfolios. The training added to my skills as a lighting engineer and videographer. I would highly recommend Dev's training programmes.
